Backpacker Campervans: Rental Locations – Auckland, Christchurch, Wellington and Queenstown

Rates include:
GST (local tax), unlimited km, crockery and cutlery, standard insurance, Customer care 24 hour 7 days per week road service helpline (toll free), all branches have local tourist information and maps available, free Airport transfers on pick-up and drop-off (except Wellington)

Wellington and Queenstown Fees:
Vehicle collections and returns in Wellington and Queenstown incur a NZ$ 210 location fee (same city collection and return, one fee applies). This is in addition to the one-way fee if applicable.

Minimum Hire Period:
Breezer campervan rentals have a 3-day minimum rental requirement when pick up and return are to the same location. The Breezer is available from Auckland and Christchurch.
• The minimum rental period is five days for all other Backpacker campers.
• All rentals with a collection date between 1 September 2011 and 31 October 2011 have a minimum 7 day rental requirement.
• All campervan rentals with a collection date between the 23rd of December and the 10th of January are subject to a ten-day minimum rental requirement.
• Minimum rental period is 10 days when a vehicle is being collected from the North Island and is being returned to the South Island if the rental commences between the months of October through to March.

Minimum Driver Age:
Nomad and Breezer 18 years, Wanderer, Quattro and Six Pack 21 years

Excess - payable by credit card:
NZ$ 3,500 Breezer, Nomad and Wanderer
NZ$ 5,000 Quattro and Six Pack

Additional Insurance Options -
Breezer, Nomad and Wanderer:
Excess Reduction Option 1: NZ$ 18 per day to reduce the excess to NZ$ 1,500
Excess Reduction Option 2: NZ$ 28 per day to reduce the excess to NZ$ 0 (security deposit of NZ$ 220 still required upon pick up)
Tyre and Windscreen Cover: NZ$ 5 per day (maximum charge NZ$ 250). Where the hirer purchased tyre and windscreen cover unlimited windscreen and tyres will be covered for accidental damage. Tyre and Windscreen cover can only be purchased in conjunction with Excess Reduction 2 or is included in the Smart Pack.

Additional Insurance Options -
Quattro and Six Pack:
Excess Reduction Option 1: NZ$ 27 per day to reduce the excess to NZ$ 2,500
Excess Reduction Option 2: NZ$ 34 per day to reduce the excess to NZ$ 0 (security deposit of NZ$ 220 still required upon pick up)
Tyre and Windscreen Cover: NZ$ 5 per day (maximum charge NZ$ 250). Where the hirer purchased tyre and windscreen cover unlimited windscreen and tyres will be covered for accidental damage. One Way Fee: One-way rentals are available between all branch locations with the exception of the Breezer which is available to and from Christchurch and Auckland only. A one-way rental fee of NZ$ 210 is charged for Breezer, Nomad and Wanderer rentals or NZ$ 260 for Quattro and Six-Pack rentals, to and from the North Island to the South Island and vice versa, where pick up is between the 1st of October and the 31st of March.

Extra Driver Fee: NZ$ 5 per day, per driver, per hire (maximum charge per hire, per driver is NZ$ 150)

2 Berth: Nil
2 Berth (Toilet Shower): NZ$ 4.70 per 100 km
4 Berth: NZ$ 4.70 per 100 km
6 Berth: NZ$ 4.85 per 100 km

Credit Card Fee: The credit card holder will be jointly and severally liable as a customer. Accepted credit cards are Visa Card and MasterCard.
A non-refundable 2% administration fee will apply to all Visa and MasterCard transactions. Credit card administration fees also apply to debited vehicle security deposits and only the hirer’s credit card is acceptable to use for the purpose of the vehicle security deposit. American Express is not accepted.

RATES INCLUDE:

• One-way Fees and Location Fees if applicable

STANDARD LIABILITY:
All vehicles are insured for the damage to the vehicle or to the property of a Third Party. The hirer is responsible for the first NZ$3,500 ("the liability") for the Breezer, Lowrider, Nomad and Wanderer campervans and NZ$5,000 ("the liability") for Quattro and Six-Pack of the cost of damage to Third Party property or to the rented vehicle, including single vehicle accident (does not include single vehicle roll over), windscreen and tyre damage, towing and recovery costs, theft, fire, break-in or vandalism with the exception of the 'exclusions'. This also includes the cost of the daily rental for the period the vehicle is off fleet for accident repairs.

LIABILITY REDUCTION OPTION 1
CDW 1: The liability can be reduced for NZD 20 per day for the Breezer, Lowrider, Nomad and Wanderer or NZ$ 27 for the Quattro and Six-Pack . With Liability Reduction Option 1 the hirer is responsible for the first NZ$1,500 for the Breezer, Lowrider, Nomad and Wanderer and the first NZ$2,500 for the Quattro and Six-Pack vehicles of ANY ACCIDENT COST of damage to Third Party property or to the rented vehicle, including single vehicle accident (does not include single vehicle roll over), windscreen and tyre damage, towing and recovery costs, theft, fire, break in or vandalism with the exception of the 'exclusions'. This also includes the cost of the daily rental rate for the period the vehicle is off fleet for accident repairs. The liability applies in respect of each claim, not rental.

LIABILITY REDUCTION OPTION 2
CDW 2: The liability can be reduced for NZD 30 per day for the Breezer, Lowrider, Nomad and Wanderer or NZ$ 36 for the Quattro and Six-Pack. When Liability Reduction Option 2 has been purchased, the hirer will have no Liability at all with
the exception of the 'exclusions'.

SMART PACK ALL INCLUSIVE:
The liability can be reduced for NZD 38 per day for the Breezer, Lowrider, Nomad and Wanderer or NZ$ 49 for the Quattro and Six-Pack.

MINIMUM HIRE PERIOD:
Minimum rental period is 5 days. The minimum rental is extended to 14 days for vehicle pick up between 20 Dec 2012 and 10 Jan 2013.
Vehicle rentals are calculated on a per calendar day basis, i.e. day of pick up or drop off is always counted as a full day irrespective of what time the vehicle is collected or dropped off.

ONE WAY FEE:
One-way rentals are available between all branch locations with the exception of the Breezer which is available to and from Christchurch and Auckland only. A one-way rental fee of NZ$210 is charged for Breezer, Lowrider, Nomad and Wanderer rentals or NZ$260 for Quattro and Six-Pack rentals, to and from the North Island to the South Island and vice versa, where pick up is between the 1st of October and the 31st of March.

WELLINGTON & QUEENSTOWN LOCATION FEES:
A location fee of NZ$210 applies to all campervans picking up or dropping off in Wellington or Queenstown. If the pick-up and drop off occurs in the same city, only one location fee will apply. One-way fees will apply if applicable.

EXTRA DRIVER FEE: NZ$5 per day, per driver, per hire (maximum charge per hire, per driver is NZ$150)
