Ferry crossing with the Interislander New Zealand
Ferry services across Cook Strait, linking New Zealand North and South Islands
Kaitaki Ferry Crossing The three conventional ferries – Arahura, Kaitaki and Aratere – take three hours to cruise around the lower North Island coastline and experience the peaceful Marlborough Sounds - a truly breathtaking entrance to the South Island New Zealand.
Especially during the New Zealand peak season and if you have to take a vehicle with you it is highly recommended to pre-book the ferry. As a foot passenger you have to be at the ferry terminal at least 30 minutes and with a vehicle at least 60 minutes before your departure time.
