Minimum rental period: 5 days
One Way Hires: You can start your hire in Auckland and finish in Christchurch (or vice versa) at no extra charge if the hire period is a minimum of fourteen days.
Age restrictions and drivers licence: Drivers must be 21 years of age and a valid national drivers licence or an international drivers licence will be accepted.

Bond/Excess/Insurance:
You are fully insured in case of an accident or loss of contents (this excludes your personal belongings) for damage to the vehicle or to the property of a Third Party. The hirer is responsible for the excess (bond) of NZ$1000 for drivers 25 and over, or NZ$1500 for drivers 21 -24 and $2000 for drivers 18 – 20 years old. This covers the cost of damage to Third Party property or to the rented vehicle, including single vehicle accident, towing and recovery costs, theft, fire, break in or vandalism. The insurance excludes damage to the roof and under-body of the vehicle, and damage to the tyres and glass. Insurance also includes the cost of the daily rental rate for the period the vehicle is off fleet for accident repairs. This excess applies in respect of each claim, not rental. Please remember - you must advise Spaceships as soon as an accident or incident with your vehicle occurs.

Additional insurance option:
An option to reduce your excess is to pay a non-refundable bond waiver - we have two options either Partial or Full waiver.
